Saint John In the Wilderness Episcopal Church
Our Church’s journey began in 1898 in the historic mining town of Goldfield, NV. After lying dormant for over three decades following the mining boom’s end, St. John found new life in 1948 when it was carefully disassembled and reconstructed at our present location. The windows, pews, beams, and much of the woodwork you see today are from the original church, making St. John one of the most historic and picturesque churches in the American West. Between our awe-inspiring setting and our historic, simple chapel, St. John offers a unique opportunity to worship in one of the most beautiful and spiritual places on Earth. We invite you to experience the peace and connection to the divine that our sacred space provides.
We look forward to welcoming you and sharing this extraordinary place with you. Make the short drive to join us – we promise, you won’t be disappointed.
