Father

Paul Bailey

Fr. Paul Bailey was born in Texas and, upon finishing graduate school, attended the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin.  He served churches in Covington, Louisiana; Huntsville, Alabama; and Hammond, Louisiana–the last for 23 years.  He also served as Dean of the Northshore Deanery, Chair of the Commission on Ministry, a member of the Solomon Episcopal Conference Center board, and diocesan liturgist for Louisiana. Upon retirement from full-time ministry in 2022, he and his wife Laurie moved to Carson City, where he has been privileged to serve as a supply clergy in a number of churches, including St. John’s!  In his spare time, he enjoys enology, history, walking, and enjoying the many gifts northern Nevada has to offer.

“Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them”
